This is the 6th video of the series on the 6 Stages of Change, Maintenance. In the maintenance stage, you are still using environmental control and a reward system to commit to change, preparing in the event of a lapse or re-lapse in self change positive behavior.
Here is the next video in my “6 Stages of Change” video series – the Action stage. In this stage, you’re stating “I am…”, you’re taking action to rid yourself of barriers and you’re giving yourself rewards.
Today I share a post from my guest blogger and colleague, Jeannie Feliciano of 3F1 Fitness. Thanksgiving is probably the one holiday where we give ourselves a “pass” to indulge in every delicious and delectable thing that’s within arm’s reach. Afterwards, we find ourselves lying on the coach and bloated. While you may want to […]
Welcome to the the next video in my 6 Stage of Change video series. Today we’ll talk about Preparation. When I’m working with client at this stage, they start to say, “I will.” They are on the path to change and are ready to make a commitment to it. For this stage, you’ll want to […]
November is National Caregiver Month, so this post is a reflection about caregivers. So, who takes care of the caregiver? Well, like lots of other stuff in your life right now, if you are a caregiver, the answer to that question is probably no one. It’s not so easy to take care of yourself when […]
Welcome to the first in a series of videos in which I will explain the 6 Stages of Change. Today’s video is an overview of the six stages of change. In this video Diane Catrambone, your Healthy Life Coach and owner of Health By Design, a health and wellness coaching practice, gives an overview of […]
Please stay tuned to my healthy life coaching blog over the following weeks. In an effort to explain the style of coaching I employ, Cooperative Coaching, I thought it might be helpful to discuss change. During my coaching sessions, I discuss the 6 Stages of Change a lot, and I thought that would be a […]
Here’s A THOUGHT SHARE from my dear friend and spiritual playmate, Deb Reilly. What seeds have you planted that are now coming ready for harvest? In the coaching realm, it’s largely about asking good questions; the kind of questions that are thought-provoking and cause a person to delve deeper into themselves for the answers. The […]
A short story… This week, I met with a member of my brainstorming group, “Dragon Ladies”. We were brainstorming about how my coaching practice is evolving. I was ‘filling her in’ on my journey and she said…tell your story. I guess I’ve told parts of the story to different people at different times, but as […]
Save the date: April 28th (9-10am) for a Fitness Bootcamp. I’m hosting this event in my backyard to support friends going on a humanitarian effort to Zambia, Africa in July. Help my friends inspire the young people of this country to greatness of purpose. I’ve been saying for years, charity is a wonderful thing, but […]

“Thank you so much for coaching me along through this year. Your professional and engaging direction has helped me to work at my challenges with a fair and more open-minded approach. Without your suggestions, I don’t believe I would make myself consider possible alternate solutions before taking action or likely would take no action at all.”
“You took me from feeling off track to being mindful of success along my journey. From a cluttered feeling to small steps that are manageable. From questioning my goals to this is possible. You have a way of soothing my soul and helping me be the best I can be.”
“I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your always cheerful disposition no matter what’s going on. You are fabulous!”
“I want to express my appreciation for all of the guidance you have given me in my quest to accomplish my weight loss goal. You have become an important part of why I believe I will succeed and finally reach my goal.”
“Diane is helping me uncover the emotional connection to my weight gain and my previous failed attempts at weight loss. Diane is helping me understand what is keeping me from losing weight and also helping me find the tools to release any mental or emotional blocks I have to weight loss. Thank you”
“I had been going to the gym for years before meeting up with Diane. She has taught me so many things both mentally and physically. She is really an inspiration!“
“I find myself today a stronger, more energetic, happier person with a much improved self image, and the ability to strive for the bar that I have gladly raised higher and higher. Thanks, Diane, for your total support.”
“It is easy to work with Diane because she is truly non judgmental and helps you value yourself as you are first and then helps you on your program. With Diane I was able to break down change into small increments that were doable. This allowed me to have small successes, which kept me going as I established new routine for health and well being.”
“The focus is on you, which is exactly what I needed. I would recommend Diane’s services to anyone. She really has changed me…not only my size but also how I feel about myself and for that, I am forever grateful.”
“Diane has made it her mission to educate me about my personal physical fitness and my nutrition. She continually pushes me to the next level of strength and achievement. Each time I meet her challenge, I feel a new pride in myself that I had not felt for quite some time. After just three months with Diane, I found that I was a size smaller, more toned than I had been in 10 years and feeling great! Achieving this level of success was a true motivator in keeping me in her program.”
